Dynojet sponsored Hetrick Racing at ATVA NATIONAL MOTOCROSS
Monster Energy Kawasaki/Hetrick Racing go 2-3
Date: 8/11/2009 12:00:00 AM
Team riders in the Pro-Am Production class for Dynojet sponsored Hetrick Racing, Joel Hetrick and Bobby Ross go 2-3 in the ATVA NATIONAL MOTOCROSS series at Pleasure Valley.
July 19, 2009 - The start of the first moto was ok, Hetrick came out in the 5th spot with some stiff competition in front of him.The young rider showed his experience and talent as he worked his way into the 3rd spot, twice, after picking up a rock and loosing his front brakes on lap 3 causing him to blow a turn going back a few positions,by the end of that lap he was back in third looking to move up.
For Ross, the start was similar. He started 6th working his way into the 4th position by the end of the moto, the competition is tough and it was hard to pass, but he kept the leaders in sight working his way up.
Moto 2 started off somewhat better for Hetrick,he came off in the 3rd spot, although the track didn't offer that many places to pass,he got around Billy Cottage on lap 2.The leader Cody Gibson was at this point out there to far to reel in,Hetricks pit crew advised him to ride smart and take the 2nd for the weekend, that he did.
Moto 2 for Ross was also better off the gate 5th was his starting spot.On lap three Ross had worked his way into 3rd at this point he was unable to catch up to the leaders by the end of the race, the same advice was given to Ross ride smart and that he also did.
The Hetrick Racing riders went to the podium, Hetrick in 2nd and Ross in 3rd,with the help of many sponsors.
The 2009 race year is tough on everyone so we would like to thank them all for a great opportunity.Without their help this would not be possible.
