Here we are again first round of the year at Eastern Creek Raceway, coming into the round after a very successful 2011 season. The first round this year was going to be difficult for the TCR, YRD, Shock treatment Yamaha R1.The line up for the first round was top rate and the fact that we only finished putting the bikes together Friday morning was going to make things difficult.
In the true nature of the team we would not let this stop our progress as we commence the development of the new Yamaha R1. Friday the TCR team arrived knowing we still had a big job ahead. After a recent test at Wakefield park raceway the learning curve would begin.

But top the mountain he did, powering his Yamaha FX Nytro MTX to the top of the steep course as the first four-stroke to do so in the 37 years the event has been held – while also becoming the first Yamaha to qualify for the Pro finals since 2001.

On Thursday March 15th, Daytona International Speedway kicked off the 2012 AMA Pro Flattrack season. This would be my first pro race. Hoping on the Weirbach Racing 450 I entered the short track for the first time ever and I immediately realized that all the rumors of the track being super slippery were very very true. After the 1st practice I qualified 13th.
With out being able too see any times we were not sure were too make the changes so we left everything the same and in the last session I qualified 33rd. Qualifying 33rd was missing the main show by one spot and I was very disappointed.
